If you have ever wanted to learn how to make your own bamboo fly rod, I offer one-on-one rodmaking classes. Each class is structured to teach you how to make a rod starting with a raw culm of bamboo and ending with a ferruled 2 piece blank. Finishing classes are also available after you have finished your blank. you can also buy a pre-made blank and take my class on finishing techniques. Rodmaking classes run approximately 45 hours. All tools and components are included in the price of the classes. 

Rodmaking Class - $700
Rod Finishing Class - $300

I am fairly flexible about scheduling classes. You can take a class during the week or on weekends. You can also spread out your class over several weeks. Please give me a call anytime to schedule a class. 

In addition to rodmaking classes I offer individual fly tying classes by the hour. I have over 35 years of experience tying, with several as a commercial fly tier. I have taught hundreds of people how to tie flies from basic to advance designs. Fly tying classes can be scheduled just about anytime the fish aren't biting!
